少し湿度が下がってきた暑さのニューヨークですがいかがお過ごしでしょうか?
さて、今年応募していたIPA(International Photography Awards)2025にて、
The North American blizzard of 2022 was bringing heavy snow and strong winds to West Village.
New York state was currently under a state of emergency. In the thick of it,
the soft glance of this couple felt warm on the frigid street. Thank you, for heartful smile along the white canvas.
It's a slightly cold morning, with the white mist wetting the whole town.
Drops run down my long hair brush against my cheek and fall into the palm of my hand.
If you're gentle, I'll probably sway.
Please wrap me in your arms. If you're the wind as you pass by, I want to be the wind right now.
One of the greatest joys in photographing family portraits is being invited back year after year.
For over a decade, I’ve captured the same family,
watching their children grow as lovingly as if they were my own.
Each session deepens our shared story, framed by time and trust.
I am profoundly grateful for this encounter—and for the ten beautiful years it has gifted me. Thank you.
Anyone who has photographed a family portrait knows the challenges it holds
—especially on a chilly autumn morning, with children wrapped in delicate kimono.
Yet, in that fleeting moment when every heart aligns and a shared warmth emerges through the lens, the difficulty fades.
It is in capturing that silent harmony that I am reminded why I can never walk away from this job.
